Clarendon Scholarships are awarded on the basis of outstanding academic merit and potential to graduate students from all around the world. It supports beneficiaries who wish to obtain a full-time postgraduate degree in any subject available at the University of Oxford. The Clarendon Scholarships are one of the most prestigious international scholarships in the world.
A total of about 140 awards are available for students from the developing countries as well as developed countries. The scholarship is available for study of any program offered at the University of Oxford.
The Clarendon scholarships cover tuition and college fees in full. In addition, scholars n a full-time course receive a generous annual grant for living costs (at least £14,296 in 2017-18). Scholars on a part-time course receive a study support grant to help cover their non-fee costs.
To be eligible for the Clarendon Scholarships, you must:
be applying for graduate study at the University of Oxford
be applying for degree-bearing course (full-time and part-time master’s and all DPhil courses) at the University of Oxford. See list of postgraduate courses Here.

Note: Clarendon scholarships are open to scholars from all continents in the world. There is no preference for any particular subject area.
How to Apply for the Clarendon Scholarships
You must make an application to the University of Oxford. It is not possible to apply for a Clarendon Scholarship without first applying to the University of Oxford. To learn how to apply to the university, visit this link.
By applying for a full- or part-time master’s or DPhil course at Oxford by the January deadline for your course, you will automatically be considered for a Clarendon Scholarship.
You do not need to submit any additional documents specifically for the Clarendon Scholarships. Applications must be received before the January deadline (6 January/20 January 2017) for your course.
