Emile-Boutmy Scholarships for Non-EU Students at Sciences Po

The Emily-Boutmy Scholarship was created by Sciences Po University in honour of the founder of the university in order to attract the very best international students from outside of the European Union who are first time applicants and have been admitted to the university.

The Emily-Boutmy Scholarship features all undergraduate and master’s programme offered at the University. It is available to students from all countries of the world excerpt those from EU countries. The number of available slots is not specified but the scholarship offer is generous for both undergraduate and master level study as seen below:

Undergraduate Level: The Emile Boutmy Undergraduate Programme can take different forms ranging from €3,000 to €12,300 for 3 years of undergraduate study. On an exceptional basis, a scholarship of €19,000 may be granted to cover the three years of College.

Masters Level: The Emile Boutmy Master’s Programme can take different forms ranging from €5,000 to €16,000 for 2 years of the Master’s Programme. On an exceptional basis, a scholarship of €19,000 may be granted to cover 2 years of the Master’s Programme.


The Emily-Boutmy Scholarship is for first time applicants from a non-European Union state whose household does not file taxes within the European Union, and who have been admitted to the Undergraduate or Master’s programme.

How to apply for the Emile-Boutmy Scholarships

To apply for the Emily-Boutmy Scholarship, candidates would have to indicate interest on their application form and include proof of income and documents explaining their family situation. The deadline for undergraduate programmes is 2 May 2017 while the deadline for Master’s programmes is 13 January 2017 for the 2017/2018 academic year.
