Westminster Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarships for Developing Countries

The Westminster Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarships is University of Westminster’s most prestigious award. It is aimed at funding a student from a developing country to study a full-time Masters degree at the University.

The Westminster Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship is a very generous scholarship award. An awardee gets full funding for his program of study. It covers the whole duration of the program. Detail benefits of the award include full tuition fee waivers, accommodation, living expenses and flights to and from London to awardee’s home country. The scholarship award applies to any full-time Master’s Degree Programme offered at the University.

Only 1 slot is available for this generous scholarship, hence the scholarship is highly competitive. To compete fairly, applicants would have to be of excellent academic standing. The scholarship is only open to students from developing countries (See Annex B of the scholarship announcement website for definition of developing countries).


To apply for the Westminster Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship, you must be an international student from a developing country and hold an offer for a full-time Masters degree at University of Westminster. You should hold an equivalent of UK First Class Honours degree, and be in financial need with a potential for contributing to the development of your home country.

How to apply for the Westminster Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarships for Developing Country Students

You should only apply for a scholarship once you have applied for admission and successfully been offered a place (either conditional or unconditional) on the course you wish to study.  To apply for a scholarship, you will need to download and complete the relevant scholarship application form and submit it together with supporting documents by POST. The deadline for applications is 4 May 2017.
