The UC International First Year Undergraduate Scholarship is for students from all countries of the world excerpt New Zealand and Australia. All bachelor degree programmes offered at the university are open to this scholarship offer. Students considering this scholarship opportunity should already be enrolled in one of the programmes. This scholarship is granted on an annual basis.
There are up to 25 scholarships to be awarded under this scheme. In terms of benefits, the scholarship is currently awarded with values of $10,000, $15,000 or $20,000. The duration of the award is for one year. To grab this opportunity, students would have to demonstrate high academic competence.
To be eligible for the UC International First Year Undergraduate Scholarship, candidates must be full fee paying international students and should not be citizens of New Zealand or Australia, or holders of New Zealand residence class visas. In addition, they must be completing or have completed on or after 1 January of the year before the year of application. Also, candidates should be holders of University Entrance-level qualification that permits entry into University of Canterbury undergraduate degree programme.
How to apply for the UC International First Year Undergraduate Scholarships
Applications for the UC International First Year Undergraduate Scholarship open around mid-June each year and would be the same for 2017. The online application system will begin accepting applications eight weeks before the closing date. Deadline for application is 15 August 2017.
