The Edinburgh Global Undergraduate Maths Scholarship is a yearly scholarship awards being hosted by the University of Edinburgh. The scholarships are for undergraduate studies, with each award being tenable for the duration of the programme of study.

The Edinburgh Global Undergraduate Maths Scholarships are offered to Mathematics students of outstanding academic standing from countries outside the European Union. The scholarships are competitive and will be awarded broadly on the basis of academic merit. Awardees will undergo study at the University of Edinburgh, Edinburgh, Scotland.
The scholarship is specifically for bachelors in Mathematics (BSc. Maths) program only. Each of the scholarships is worth £1,000 per year. A number of scholarships will be offered for the 2017/2018 academic year. The awards will run for the whole duration of the undergraduate study, subject to satisfactory progress. A student is deemed to have made Satisfactory Progress in each year if there has been a formal school decision of either “Progress” or “Conditional Progression”, without the student needing to repeat a year. If a student does not make satisfactory progress in any one year the award will terminate from that point onwards.
To be eligible for the Edinburgh Global Undergraduate Maths Scholarship, candidates must meet the following conditions:
- Applicants must come from countries outside the European Union
- Applicants must be admitted to a full-time undergraduate degree programme offered by the School of Mathematics at the University
- Candidates must be fresh entries, the scholarship is not available to students already on programme
How to apply for the Edinburgh Global Undergraduate Maths Scholarship
Application for the Edinburgh Global Maths Scholarship is done online. Note that you will not be able to access the online application form unless you have applied for admission to the University of Edinburgh. The online scholarship application form is located in EUCLID and can be accessed via MyEd, the university’s web based information portal at https://www.myed.ed.ac.uk. When logging in to MyEd, you will need your University User Name and password. All applications must be submitted no later than 3rd April 2017.
